What does Bioremediation mean?

Bioremediation is a method used to prevent and reduce the uncontrolled spread of toxic substances resulting from human-generated or natural pollution sources such as industrial activities and petroleum spills. Bioremediation is a process where microorganisms are naturally included. Microorganisms require oily hydrocarbons and other organic pollutants as food, and during the bioremediation process, they break down oily substances in the water and convert them into harmless constituents which are environmentally safe. Compared to other cleaning methods, this method is more cost-effective and environmentally friendly.

Biyorem BioSorb is a 100% natural oil absorbent and bioremediation (biological treatment on soil) product that is used in the first response to many liquids, primarily petroleum-based hydrocarbons, and all organic oil spills for the absorption of the pollution and prevents the spread of pollution with its encapsulation feature.

BioSorb contains natural microorganisms and the necessary nutrition for these microorganisms to break down hydrocarbons. BioSorb can also dispose of various hydrocarbon derivatives such as PCB (polychlorinated biphenyl) and PAH (poly-aromatic hydrocarbons). BioSorb also provides advantages such as being applied to wide areas at one time, eliminating transportation and relocation costs when disposing of soil contaminated with hydrocarbons, and being 100% safe for both humans and the environment. BioSorb's bacterial population can survive in both aerobic and anaerobic environments and is not affected by the salinity level or pH level of the environment. It can also live under all kinds of weather conditions.

Biorem BioSorb primarily covers hydrocarbons (encapsulation), prevents them from spreading (thereby eliminating the danger of leakage) and transforms them into biomass in a short time by ensuring their biological decomposition. It is not toxic, carcinogenic, or pathogenic. There is no harm in skin contact and does not require any precautions during application.

In areas where hazardous substances are produced or stored, accidents that may occur can be quickly and safely absorbed with an emergency intervention using BioSorb. When BioSorb is mixed into the soil with waste materials, it ensures the breakdown of the organic structure of the waste and initiates the transformation into harmless byproducts. It is used to improve the natural environment in lakes, seas, rivers, swamps, and places containing organic substances on the bottom by biodegrading waste materials. It is used to lay a thick layer around fuel tanks to prevent possible leaks from mixing with the natural environment. BioSorb is a natural biological product that is completely harmless to people, animals, plants, and environmental health in bioremediation applications.
